Voltage Albania
Voltage is an independent renewable energy producer
We are a renewable energy producer providing subsidy-free clean power at a long-term, stable price for industrial and commercial users. Our customers include well-known commercial and industrial businesses, as well as other off-takers operating across Europe.
Our business is built on a senior team that has decades of experience in the sector.
Today, with long-term, committed investment backing from one of the world’s most respected energy investors, we are building a multi-gigawatt portfolio that will help companies and countries meet their energy needs. We already have 1GW of clean energy being planned for construction across three sites in Albania.

Sustainability
No form of energy is free from environmental impact; however, solar energy has among the lowest impacts, as it emits no air or water pollution. As part of our development process, we conduct thorough wildlife studies and ensure each site complies with all local, state and federal environmental regulations.
This project will play an important role in the company’s ESG strategy, focusing on the fight against climate change and decarbonization.
It is projected to significantly contribute to Albania’s efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 11.5% by 2030 from the 2016 levels.
Projections indicate that the project will result in a reduction of approximately 140,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions per year.

Projects
Innovative Strategies
The Voltage Solar project is an innovative solar project proposed to be built in three locations in Central, South and South East of Albania.
The first phase will have a capacity of up to 300 MW + 100 MWh / battery, 1-X tracking of clean, renewable energy. Once operational, it will create good-paying jobs and millions in additional revenue for the local community. Construction is due to start in the beginning of the next year; the plant is expected to be completed in early 2025. Once constructed, it will be the largest solar plant in Albania.
It is calculated that PV Panels with an installed capacity of 300 MW will produce an average annual power generation of 700 Gigawatt/hours/year.
The power will be sold to commercial and industrial users through long-term Power Purchase Agreements.
The project will create a large number of new jobs in the construction phase. Approximately 300 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees will be hired, both for light assembly – which is work suitable for men and women, on both a full-time and part-time basis – and highly-skilled engineering roles. Longer term, the power plant will provide local employment for skilled and semi-skilled labor throughout the 30 plus years of operation.
It will be designed, constructed, and operated to the highest environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
